Here's what we fish for...

keys big pine key marathon west mexico pompano Pompano is one of my favorite eating fish that we catch in Chokoloskee and the Everglades National Park. Clients love fishing for them on my charters when they are in season. A startled pompano hurls itself across the water's surface, skipping like a flat rock thrown with a perfect sidearm toss.  Read More
keys big pine key marathon west mexico Speckled trout is one of the premiere game fish to target while fishing the shallow grass flats of Chokoloskee and the Everglades National Park. Not only is it great table fare, but it is a terrific topwater fighter! When hooked on light spin tackle, it will give you quite a show as it dances & thrashes wildly on the surface as it attempts to regain its freedom.    Read More

Latest news after statewide frost

JB

As a result of the statewide freeze, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) issued an executive order on Jan. 15 that temporarily extends closed harvest seasons for snook. The FWC advises anglers that catch-and-release fishing for Snook is still allowed.

Despite the big freeze and Snook kill all over the state of Florida, we are still out there every day catching  lots of Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish, Pompano, Sheepshead, Snapper, Shark, Mackerel, and lots more here in Chokoloskee, Everglades City, and all over the 10,000 islands of the Everglades National Park.
