As a result of the statewide freeze, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) issued an executive order on Jan. 15 that temporarily extends closed harvest seasons for snook. The FWC advises anglers that catch-and-release fishing for Snook is still allowed. Despite the big freeze and Snook kill all over the state of Florida, we are still out there every day catching lots of Speckled Sea Trout, Redfish, Pompano, Sheepshead, Snapper, Shark, Mackerel, and lots more here in Chokoloskee, Everglades City, and all over the 10,000 islands of the Everglades National Park.
