5/7/18 Fishing Report Chokoloskee Everglades CIty FL

5/7/18: Fishing Report: This week the water temperatures in the areas we fish in the 10000 Islands and the Everglades National Park right now have been ranging between 81 and 84 degrees. A couple of windy fronts passed through our area last week, but now we are experienceing calm and mild weather and beginning our warming trend typical to this time of the year.  We are now fishing mostly the outside shallow flats and oyster bars around the barrier islands, along with some of the river and pass mouths out of Chokoloskee and Everglades City. We have been getting into some very nice catches of Redfish, Black Drum, Snook, Speckled Sea Trout, Snapper, Pompano, Tarpon, and Sharks. Team Captains, Kurt, John, Brandon, Pete, James, Tyler, and Austin have been fishing charters this past week, mostly out of Everglades City and Chokoloskee, along with some from Marco Island, Naples, and Goodland, and have been catching some some big numbers of very nice slot sized Snook & redfish & black drum. Come fish with our team of family friendly guides here in the Ten Thousand Islands.
