Captain Rapps' Summertime Shark Charters

Each summer many types of shark enter the shallow waters of the
Everglades National Park to breed, and feed on the abundant bait in
the warm shallow waters near Chokoloskee and Everglades City.
Although we catch Shark year round here in the 10,000 Islands, they are
most abundant when the water temperature reaches the high 70's- 80's.

This gives us the best opportunity to fish for them on our

"Shark Exclusive Charters"

each May through October.

We fish all light weight spin gear, very close to shore, in shallow water,
for many different type of shark including.....

Bull, Lemon, Hammerhead, Spinner, Sharpnose,

Bonnethead, Nurse, and Black Tip.

All of our Shark fishing is "Catch and Release"
so they can live to swim another day!

Provided on each charter:

• Bait
• Top of the line spin gear and tackle
• Coolers and ice
• All necessary fishing licenses, insurance, fuel

Book Captain Rapps personally,

or any of his friendly, knowledgeable,

and patient National Park Licensed Guides.

Captain Rapps' boat is most comfortable fishing 2 anglers, however holds up to 3 anglers.

We also have boats that comfortably
fish up to 4 Anglers.

It is alot of fun for groups of 4 or more to go out in several boats and do a "tag team"
day on the water.

How to Reserve Your Trip:

Don't wait till the last minute - Be sure to book as far as possible in advance to reserve the dates you would like to fish.  It is not uncommon for us to have bookings several weeks or months ahead.  If your schedule allows, I like to look at the tide charts, moon phase, weather patterns, and several other factors to give you the best scenario to fulfill your dream. You can use the contact form right here on the web site to reach me.

Items you should bring :

• Hat, sun protective clothing, & sunglasses (preferably polarized)
• Sun Screen
• Food & Drinks
• Camera
• Rain gear
• Non Skid boat shoes  (no black, dark, or marking soles please)

* Please keep your items to a minimum as stowage space is very limited.

You can stay right at CHOKOLOSKEE ISLAND PARK, which is where we meet for most of our charters. They have nice efficiency units with a bedroom, bathroom, living room, and kitchen. You can also camp here.

If you are wanting more of a hotel room, with breakfast served, & a swimming pool, then I recommend THE IVEY HOUSE HOTEL in Everglades City which is just 10 minutes from the docks.
