Fishing Report: Everglades City and Chokoloskee 9/22/12

9/22/12 We have had slight water temperature changes in the near coastal waters and river areas of the 10000 Islands of the Everglades National Park. This week the water is currently hovering right around 84 degrees. Captains Brandon, Bob, Gary, Kurt, and I have been out catching Redfish as our primary targets. This week while out on a charter with Customer Joey Quinn, we had the pleasure of hooking up with 6 juvenile Tarpon and 18-20 Snook in the back waters near Everglades City. We fished mostly with Jigs. The wind kicked up on Tuesday which made the outside and near shore areas muddy, so the back rivers were the choice. The Trout  are a little scarce at the moment, but will be back on the target list real soon as we get into October. It's September 2012 and it's a beautiful time of year for fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands of the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City & Chokoloskee Florida.
