Fishing Forecasts

Fishing Report February 10, 2012

With air temperatures higher than normal, the water temperatures remain high too. Currently the water is 71 degrees at my dock in Chokoloskee, which is 5 degrees higher than the average. Because of this, the fishing bite remains solid. We are currently taking advantage of the mild days by fishing both the outside flats and passes, along with the back country rivers and mangrove shorelines. This has produced a nice variety of fish for us. Recently we had out Jim, Jack, and John for a nice mix bag catch of Sheepshead from the nearshore reefs, and Redfish & Speckled Trout in the back country river mouths and oyster bars. Brian and Rick got into everything from Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black tip Shark, Silver trout, & Sheepshead. Lou and Chad were out for 4 straight days and they got into everything from back water Gag Grouper up to 26", some big fat Speckled Trout up to 22", Snook, tons of Redfish, Pompano, Bonnethead  Shark, and a lot more. Come Book a charter and we'll get you hooked up!
