Fishing Report January 2, 2018

The water temperatures in the areas we fish in the 10000 Islands and the Everglades National Park right now have been typical to this time of year, and are currently ranging between 64 and 71 degrees. Typical to our winter fishery, we are into the back country and rivers, along with fishing the outside flats, shorelines, oyster bars, and nearshore areas here out of Chokoloskee and Everglades City. There have been some very nice catches of Speckled Trout, Redfish, Black Drum, Snook, Sheepshead, Snapper, Permit, Pompano, and sharks around. Our team Captains, Kurt, John, Jeff, Brandon, Pete, James, and Austin have been fishing charters this past week, mostly out of Everglades City and Chokoloskee, along with some from Marco Island, Naples, and Goodland, and have been catching and releasing some some big numbers of very nice slot sized trout, sheepshead, redfish, black drum, & snook. Come fish with our team of guides here in the Ten Thousand Islands.
