Fishing Forecasts

Fishing Report January 13, 2012

Despite a few minor cold fronts, the fishing action remains solid. Speckled Sea Trout fishing opened up the beginning of the month. For table fare we have been targeting them along with Redfish, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Pompano, Mackerel, Silver Trout, and some nice Tripletail. For Sportfish, the Snook bite has been encouraging as they migrate into the deeper back county for the winter. Of course for those with children or anyone looking for non-stop action, the Ladyfish and Jack bite is border line ridiculous! There is something for everyone to catch this time of year! Below are a few recent charter photos of Paul with one of many Reds he caught, Jill with her 22.5lb Triple Tail, and Kristy with one of her keeper Trouts.

Come book a fishing charter with Captain Rapps Family Friendly Charters in Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and the 10000 islands of the Everglades National Park, FL and get in on the action! We are located just south of Naples and Marco Island. We offer both Chokoloskee fishing charters & Everglades City Fishing Charters.
