Fishing Report: Everglades City & Chokoloskee July 23, 2012

The water temperatures in the near coastal and river areas of Everglades National Park are currently fluctuating between 84 and 86 degrees. This past week some beautiful Snook were caught along with some nice Redfish, Spotted Sea Trout, Permit, a few Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, and a variety of Sharks. Live bait like Pilchards have been available and make awesome Snook candy. Using live shrimp hooked up under a popping cork is also working great. The close in wrecks and bottom structures have been holding Permit and a variety of other fish. Some mornings have presented good Tarpon opportunities around the 10,000 Islands. It's a beautiful time of year for fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands of the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City & Chokoloskee. Give Captain Rapps' Charters and Guides a call today!
