Fishing Report: Chokoloskee & Everglades City, FL August 14th 2012

8/14/12   The water temperatures in the near coastal waters and river areas of the 10000 Islands of Everglades National Park are currently fluctuating between 86 and 88 degrees the last few days. The summer rains are here and you can pretty much count on daily storms each afternoon, so the trick has been to get out early to enjoy some awesome fishing. This past week Capt Brandon has got into some beautiful Spotted Sea Trout along with some nice Redfish, Snook, and a variety of Sharks. Live baits like Thread Herring and Pilchards have been available and making awesome Snook candy. The rainy weekend made for some interesting fishing and produced some beautiful Redfish in between storms. It's a beautiful time of year for fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands of the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City & Chokoloskee Florida.
