Chokoloskee & Everglades City Fishing Report 10/20/13

The National Park is open again and we have been fishing a lot, and are catching some great fish! Redfish are our primary targets right now. Sheepshead, Spotted Sea Trout, Black Drum, & Snook are all secondary catches. The near coastal waters and river areas of the 10000 Islands of the Everglades National Park are now ranging between 81 and 84 degrees. The redfish are almost all slot size between 18" and 27". Very few have been under the slot, however some are over sized. Most have been hitting shrimp under popping corks, Gulp Shrimp on jig heads, and live bait such as finger Mullet & Pilchards.  Isn't it time you got out and experienced some of the best fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands of the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City & Chokoloskee Florida?
