9/17/15 Fishing Report: Everglades City, Chokoloskee, & Goodland FL

The water temperatures here in the near coastal waters and river areas of the 10000 Islands and the Everglades National Park have been ranging this week between 82 and 85 degrees. We are experiencing some nice Redfish action currently. We are getting them on both rising and falling tides as long as there is decent water movement. Baits used right now are mostly shrimp presented both live under a popping cork, and also free lined on a circle hook. Some artificials are working great too including Gulp soft plastic shrimp in new penny color and 3" long. They work nicely with a red or chartreuse jig head that weighs between 1/4 and 3/8 oz. Snook are hitting live baits and are really liking the live Pilchards. We like to use about 3'-4' of 40lb fluorocarbon leader with a circle hook to match the size of the bait. Isn't it time you got out and experienced some of the best fishing in the Ten Thousand Islands and the Everglades National Park?  We fish our charters from Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and Goodland Florida. Book your trip online 24/7 with any of our fantastic fleet Captains. Be sure to check our "Seminars and Events" link on the website for dates and locations of our current workshops around SW Florida.
