Captain John Dant is part of our available Everglades City, Chokoloskee, and Estero Bay Fishing Fleet. He fishes from a beautiful fully equipped 22ft Pathfinder combination Bay and Flats boat with a T-top and all the extra goodies.
Captain John has the patience, skill, & local knowledge that it takes to make your day out on the water one that you will remember and talk about for years to come. He is a lot of fun, has a great sense of humor, a keen willingness to teach, and incredible knowledge of the Everglades National Park and the Estero Bay areas. Captain Jeff Zellers is a member of our Chokoloskee Island fishing fleet and also our Bahia Honda Tarpon Charters fleet. He has fished the waters of Chokoloskee and the Everglades National Park for years as mate with Captain Pete Rapps before becoming an Everglades National Park licensed guide himself. Capt Jeff has set his boat up perfectly with a T-top for shade, power-pole, trolling motor, and all the extra bells and whistles to make fishing with him on this beautiful Bay Scout boat a pleasure. Capt Jeff is very patient and excellent with all levels of anglers including all men, women, and children, beginner to advanced. He will make it a fun and memorable day for all.

Captain Brandon Acosta is part of both our Everglades Fishing Fleet, and our Florida Keys Bahia Honda Tarpon fishing fleet. He fishes his charters from a 23ft Bay Boat made by Ranger Boats. This boat is extremely well equipped with all the options that will make your adventure one to remember. The boat is rigged with a t-top and tower with full controls.
There is plenty of room for sitting or standing depending on what the individual angler’s preferences are, and he has 2 pedestal seats for anglers to fish from if they so choose. Capt Brandon is a very knowledgeable local guide, very polite, extremely patient, and is fantastic with all levels of anglers, experienced or not, including men, women, children, & families.
Captain Austin Acosta is part of our Everglades Fishing Fleet. He is the son and protege of Captain Brandon. Growing up fishing the waters of the Everglades National Park from Everglades City, Capt Austin is the youngest guide on the fleet, however has had years of experience fishing with the best mentors in the business here in the 10,000 Islands. Having a easy going demeanor, upbeat personality, and talent to get the fish to bite even in not so perfect conditions, Captain Austin will make sure that you and your family and friends have a great experience and memorable day on the water.
He fishes his charters from a 21ft Century Bay Boat. The open floor plan of the boat allows for easy casting and fishing for up to 4 anglers. It is a shallow running boat perfect for fishing the bays, flats, and back country waters in our area.
Captain Gary is part of our available Everglades Fishing Fleet. He fishes from a 17' Carolina Skiff with an extremely shallow draft allowing him to get into the shallowest and awesome back country and near shore fishing areas here in the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City, FL.
Capt. Gary's boat is ideal for fishing up to 2 anglers. He has been successfully fishing this area of the Everglades National Park out of Everglades City for years. He uses all of the latest and greatest gear, has the same easy going demeanor as the rest of fleet, likes to laugh and joke around, and is a pleasure to spend time with.
Captain James is part of our 10,000 Islands fishing fleet. He fishes from a 22' Pathfinder boat. Capt James' speciatly areas are the 10,000 Islands from Marco Island south through Goodland and Port of the Islands. He is extremely patient and is a pro at teaching and making sure his crew has a fantastic experience.

Captain Kevin Grubb
Captain Kevin Grubb is part of our available Florida Keys Bahia Honda Tarpon fishing fleet. He fishes from a 26' Downeaster boat. Capt Kevin can fish up to 4 passengers. His boat is equipped with a T-Top providing shade when needed, a bow mounted fighting chair, and he uses all first class gear. In addition to fishing our Bahia Honda Tarpon Charters from March until June, Captain Kevin also charters offshore for Sailfish, Wahoo, Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, Grouper, Yellowtail Snapper, and more. Capt Kevin is a real "southern gentleman" and is as polite and easy going as they come. His mate "Casey" the Border Collie is not only a good luck charm, but she is the Tarpon whispering fleet mascot.
Capt. Shelby Bentley is one of the awesome available guides on our Bahia Honda Tarpon fleet. He is a full time guide here in the Florida Keys. Dialed into these Tarpon, Capt Shelby has the knowledge and gear to get the job done! He fishes from a 31' Contender with twin 300HP Yamaha outboards. Very personable and always happy, Capt Shelby is a lot of fun and truly loves what he does... and it shows! Outside of fishing these Tarpon charters at the Bahia Honda, Capt Shelby also specializes in offshore trips in the 31' Contender for Mahi-mahi, Sailfish, Shark, Snapper, Cobia, Permit, Grouper, and lots more. He also does charters from a 16' flats boat specializing in fly and spin fishing for Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, and more.
Captain Pete Rapps
Captain Pete Rapps, the founder of Captain Rapps, LLC Charters, fishes from a 24’ shallow draft Century Inshore / Bay Boat. Captain Pete personally fishes his charters out of Chokoloskee, FL from October through March each season. He fishes his Bahia Honda Tarpon Charters out of Big Pine Key each year from the middle of April through the middle of June. Capt Pete is very patient, loves to teach, has an easy going demeanor, and a fun sense of humor. He can fish up to 3 passengers in his boat. Capt Pete Rapps is a local author and outdoor writer for Coastal Angler Magazine, Gaff Magazine, Coastal Breeze News, and more. He conducts seminars and teaches classes at venue's such as West Marine and many local fishing clubs. He has been fishing from Chokoloskee for over 20 years.
Captain Rapps fishes up to 3 anglers (plus the captain) in his boat. Captain Rapps' boat is a "No Smoking" vessel. We have other captains on our fleet that allow smoking if necessary. His 24’ shallow draft Century Inshore / Bay Boat floats in just 14" of water which makes it perfect for fishing his charters both in the shallow waters of the 10,000 islands of the Everglades National Park, and his Tarpon-only charters in the Florida Keys. The boat is super wide & has a lot of topside standing and casting area. It is rigged with a fish spotting tower, T-top for shade, and has all the latest and greatest bells and whistles. The 300hp 4-stroke Yamaha motor allows us to spend a lot more time fishing and less time traveling. It is fully equipped with Gps and sonar electronics systems, a Power Pole shallow water anchoring system, 36 volt trolling motor, 2 livewells, and 6 batteries.
Capt Rapps is a US Coast Guard licensed Master Captain, which certifies him to captain a vessel up to 50 gross tons. Overkill for a one ton bay Boat? Absolutely! But knowledge is key to safety! In addition to VHF radio, He also keeps a satellite operated telephone on board for emergency use.
