NAPLES BOAT SHOW
Captain Rapps had a great turn out for his fishing workshop at the Naples Boat Show.. Over 100 people showed up with pads and pens to take notes on free fishing tips and advice from Capt Pete
WEST MARINE NAPLES: Captain Rapps periodically speaks at West Marine in Naples, FL. The topics of discussion are fishing in the 10,000 islands of SW Florida. Capt Rapps speaks about target species, fishing techniques, Jigs, and baits for fishing the area.
TALL TALES BAIT AND TACKLE: Captain Rapps was invited to give a seminar at Tall Tales Bait and Tackle in Naples, FL. The topic of discussion was navigating the waters of the Everglades National Park from Everglades City and Chokoloskee, FL. We also spoke about top fishing techniques, favorite lures, Jigs, and baits for fishing the area.
Captain Rapps speaks often to the Naples Fishing Club. At the events, Captain Rapps gives pointers on fishing the flats and backwaters of the Everglades National Park and the 10,000 island area of southwest Florida. Captain Rapps speaks about what tackle and brands he uses, brands of fishing gear preferred, his boat, and what he has it equipped with, and what sunglasses and apparel he prefers when out on the water every day. He passes along tips and pointers on everything from sunscreen to tying knots.
MARCO SPORTFISHING CLUB Just prior to their annual Redfish Tournament, Captain Rapps was invited to speak on techniques he uses for catching Redfish. Topics covered were: Fishing locations and practices used for fishing Reds on an Incoming tide vs Outgoing tide, Using the Moon phase to determine fishing days, Solunar bite times and theory, baits, tackle, and more. WINDSTAR FISHING CLUB: Captain Rapps was asked to speak to the Windstar fishing club about specific fish to target, techniques, tides, tackle, and more.
ENCHANTING SHORES FISHING CLUB: Captain Rapps was invited to speak to the group about winter fishing techniques in the 10,000 Islands. Topics discussed were reading and understanding tides, best bet tackle for our area, using popping corks, typical jigs used on his charters, and baits specific to each target species. |
